The Sandbox modifications for Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 are groundbreaking mods developed by Sir. Elxx alongside the Sir. Community.
They are similar to Garry’s Mod for HL2, in that it allows you to build structures in-game and pretty much do whatever you want.
BF2:Sandbox has enjoyed mild popularity among the BF2 community since its first release on June 28, 2006.
Though it came into the BF2 world late in the game, it has been well received and is still popular among Battlefield fans.
An edition of Sandbox for Battlefield 2142 is also in development and the second open beta has already arrived the Sandbox community.
